John Akwetey

John Akwetey is a co-founder and managing partner of Kodzofoli Consulting, a firm whose mission is to enable organizations to assess, adapt, and advance their programs through high-quality monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning services, ensuring sustainable development and accountability. He is charged with co-managing and leading the development of Kodzofoli’s strategy and steering the firm toward its next phase of growth.

John is an interdisciplinary Ph.D. candidate in Evaluation Science at Western Michigan University. His expertise is in the areas of impact measurement, economic evaluation, and evaluation theories and methods. He employs quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, including outcome harvesting, cost outcomes, and meta-analysis, to assess systems in sectors like agriculture, health and nutrition, and the environment.

He has led evaluations for organizations such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Fondation Botnar, Tearfund, and the German Development Cooperation. He served as an Evaluation Expert for USAID-funded projects.

John previously served as an independent consultant for Carleton University in Canada, supporting the development of impact measurement standards at Common Approach to Impact Measurement. He is also supporting WDI in developing an impact measurement strategy for the KCIC’s SWIFT program, funded by the IKEA Foundation. He received a Master of Science in Development Evaluation and Management from the University of Antwerp, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Agribusiness Management from Central University.
